DISTRICT WIDE CLEANING AND SANITIZING PLAN
Today’s cleaning procedures have drastically changed due to COVID-19. The Director of Facilities and the Custodial Contractor (SSC) have implemented a plan to clean and sanitize all district buildings during the pandemic. All QSCD Facilities and Custodial staff have been trained through Environmental Control Systems along with a Certified Industrial Hygienist:
- Understand SARS-CoV-2 and COVID -1
- Know symptoms and transmission route
- Introduce basic industrial hygiene principles for worker/personal protection
- Understand the difference between a respirator, surgical mask, and face covering
- Understand the difference between cleaning and disinfection
The typical duties of Building Leaders and Maintenance staff have been altered to assist with sanitizing of high touch points. Each building will be sanitizing all high touch points minimally once per day.
Additional sanitizing will be implemented upon request from building administrators should there be multiple positive cases in one specific area.
Normal contractual cleaning provided by SSC will continue once students leave the building. All cleaning/sanitizing will be conducted in compliance with the CDC requirements and the Bucks County Department of Health.
