Quakertown Community School District (QCSD) is once again ranked among the top high schools in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report.
The honor is reserved for those high schools that rank in the top 40 percent nationwide based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college. The U.S. News Best High Schools rankings include data on nearly 25,000 public high schools in 50 states.
“This national ranking is a reflection of our mission to prepare all students with the knowledge, habits, and skills they need to graduate ready for college or career and for engaged citizenship,” said QCSD Superintendent Dr. Matthew Friedman. “The dedication of Quakertown Community High School’s faculty and staff, and the commitment of our students and their parents is commendable and continues to reflect positively on the district and the community.”
Quakertown Community High School Principal Mattias van‘t Hoenderdaal said the honor is a credit to the school’s teachers and staff.
“As educators, we know there are many factors that demonstrate excellence beyond state assessments and it is affirming to be recognized nationally by this prestigious ranking for the hard work of our high school,” said van‘t Hoenderdaal. “I especially want to congratulate our faculty whose commitment to teaching and preparing students for the future is reflected in this ranking.”
