Real Estate Tax Due Dates
For Tax Notices with a bill date of July 1:
2% Discount Period - July 1 thru Aug. 31.
Face Period - Sept. 1 thru Oct. 31.
10% Penalty Period - Nov. 1 thru Dec. 15.
Any portion of Tax not paid by 12/31 will be sent to Bucks County Tax Claim.
Installment Due Dates -Must be paid in order
First Installment-August 31st
Second Installment-October 31st ; after October 31st a 10% penalty is added.
Third Installment-December 15th; after December 15th a 10% penalty is added.

must be received by the tax collector or if mailed, the envelope must be postmarked
by the US post office on or before the due date indicated (this does not include
meter postmarks). NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE TO THIS POLICY.
If you do not receive your Tax Notice
Contact the Elected Tax Collector for the Municipality that your property is located in.
Under Local Tax Collection Law (72 P.S. 5511.7),"Failure to receive a tax notice does
not relieve any taxpayer from liability for prompt payment of taxes imposed by
the taxing district."
Address Changes
Address changes are the taxpayer's responsibility. If there is an address change, please notify the Bucks County Board of Assessment at 215-348-6219.

Homestead & Farmstead Exclusion
The Taxpayer Relief Act(Special Session Act 1 of 2006)

Pennsylvania provides broad-based property tax relief in 2024-25 based on The Taxpayer Relief Act (Special Session Act 1 of 2006). According to the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Quakertown Community School District will receive a property tax reduction allocation of $3,111,215.74 from the total available state-funded local tax relief in 2024-25.
The $3,111,215.74 will be divided among all homestead and farmstead approved properties within the Quakertown Community School District. A homestead eligible property must be a Pennsylvania Permanent primary residence on which property taxes are paid.
A farmstead exclusion provides property tax relief to farmers. A farmstead applies to buildings used for agricultural purposes on a farm that is a least 10 contiguous acres. The farmstead must also be the primary residence of its owner. Farmers can be eligible for both a homestead exclusion and a farmstead exclusion.
To become homestead or farmstead approved a Pennsylvania resident must submit an application to the county assessor. Buck's County Board of Assessment handles the applications for Quakertown Community School District. The application deadline is March 1. Residents who acquire property in the school district after the March 1 deadline can apply but must wait until the following year to qualify for a homestead or farmstead exclusion.
The amount of property tax relief will vary from one school district to another throughout the state of Pennsylvania. The property tax relief formula was designed to send the most state resources to the communities with the greatest tax burden and least local wealth.
Quakertown Community School District Homestead and Farmstead approved properties will receive a reduction of $346.67, on their 2024-25 School Property Tax Bill dated July 1, 2024.
