Wraparound, also known as behavioral health rehabilitation services, or BHRS, is a service that focuses on the behavioral health needs of a child in his/her everyday environment. The treatment goals of wraparound are centered on the child, but include the family, and help to identify the needs of the child at home, school and in the community. It develops a program that "wraps around" the child, providing assistance with emotional, mental and behavioral difficulties. These problems can include anxiety, ADHD, conduct disorders, adjustment disorders, grief, mood disturbances, physical or sexual abuse and more. These programs serve children from birth through age 21, and services generally last up to one to two years.
